Novant Health Unveils Extensive Plans to Expand Access to Care in Brunswick County

Brunswick County is witnessing remarkable growth, with its population surging 24% from 2020 to 2024.

To meet rising healthcare demands, Novant Health is launching extensive plans to expand medical access throughout the area.

A proposed Novant Health Leland Medical Center near Compass Pointe on U.S. 74/76 will bring a 20-bed hospital, featuring a round-the-clock emergency department, advanced imaging, observation beds, and multiple procedure rooms.

Further south, a freestanding emergency department is set for Carolina Shores along U.S. 17, aiming to reduce emergency response times across the county’s wide geography.

Bolivia’s Brunswick Medical Center will soon boast an expanded MRI facility and a new cardiac catheterization lab, allowing locals access to specialized cardiac care close to home.

Meanwhile, a new surgical center in Leland is under construction, doubling Brunswick County’s surgical capacity as rapid growth continues.
